Compare Punjabi ਹਥਿਆਰ (hathiāra) / ہَتھیار (hatheyār), Sindhi هَٿِيارُ / हथिआरु, Gujarati હથિયાર (hathiyār), Marathi हत्यार (hatyār), Bengali হাতিয়ার (hatiẏar), Dhivehi ހަތިޔާރު (hatiyāru).
