Probably via Middle Persian from Sanskrit *कल्क-कल्याणक (kalka-kalyāṇaka, literally “prosperous oily sediment, good unguent or paste”), or just कल्याणक (kalyāṇaka, “prosperous”) which by itself already denotes an electuary oil, or जलकरङ्क (jalakaraṅka, “coconut”), where करङ्क (karaṅka, “skeleton, skull; the mere shell of coconut”).
