Pseudo-Arabic formation from عَکْس ('aks, photo), from Arabic عَكْس (ʕaks, reflection, opposite), using the Arabic pattern فَعّال (faʕʕāl) which creates words for habitual actions and professions. Compare کَفّاش (kaffâš, cobbler).
