Borrowed from Arabic طَبَرِيَّة (ṭabariyya), from Ancient Greek Τῐβερῐᾰ́ς (Tiberiás), from Τῐβέρῐος (Tibérios) + -ᾰ́ς (-ás), from the name of the Roman emperor Tiberius.
