Etymology
An Aramaic variant form — unattested there like the sources of شَاقُول (šāqūl, “plumb line”), كَافُور (kāfūr), سَاهُور (sāhūr, “sheath of the moon after a saros”) etc. bearing the same pattern — modified from the one which is the source of زِئْبَق (ziʔbaq, “mercury, quicksilver”).
