تَلَظَّى • (talaẓẓā) V, non-past يَتَلَظَّى‎ (yatalaẓẓā)

  1. to be ablaze, to be ignited, to burn, to be in flames
    • 609–632 CE, Qur'an, 92:14:
      فَأَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ
      faʔanḏartukum nāran talaẓẓā
      Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire
