Etymology
Shared word throughout Semitic languages. Compare Ugaritic 𐎒𐎐𐎐𐎚 (snnt), as well as Akkadian 𒋆𒄷 (/sinuntu/), from which are descended Aramaic סְנוּנִותׇא / ܣܢܽܘܢܺܝܬܳܐ (sənūniyatā) and Arabic سُنُونُو (sunūnū).
