արտօսր
Old Armenian
Alternative forms
- արտաւսր (artawsr)
Etymology
The original spelling is արտաւսր (artawsr), from *արտաւր (*artawr), from Proto-Indo-European *draḱru-, whose plural yielded արտասուք (artasukʻ); the singular *արտաւր (*artawr) seems to have adopted the -ս- (-s-) of the plural.[1][2][3]
Usage notes
- The plural was expressed by արտասուք (artasukʻ).
- The word is indeclinable. The oblique cases and the plural were filled in by արտասուք (artasukʻ).
