Etymology
From Proto-Samoyedic *säjʔwə, from Proto-Uralic *ćäjćemä. Related to Finnish seitsemän. Cognates include Nganasan сяйбә, Northern Selkup сельчи (sjeljći) and Kildin Sami кыджемь (kydž’em’).
