Etymology
Inherited from Bulgar تُوات (tüwet, “four”),[1] itself inherited from Proto-Turkic *tȫrt (“four”).[2][3]
Cognate with Khalaj tö̂rt, Turkish dört, Uzbek toʻrt, Bashkir дүрт (dürt) and Yakut түөрт (tüört).
