ревнив

Bulgarian

Etymology

From Proto-Slavic *rьvьnivъ. Morphologically identical to ре́вен (réven, zeal) (dialectal) + -ив (-iv). The meaning jealous is probably inherited from Old Church Slavonic рьвьнивъ (rĭvĭnivŭ), while the dialectal desirable is native.
