пищен

Bulgarian

Etymology

Reanalyzed from an earlier пи́шен (píšen), itself borrowed from Russian пы́шный (pýšnyj, fluffy, lush). The form with -щ- is formed by hypercorrection or possibly confused for native пи́ща (píšta, food, nourishment) + -ен (-en).
