назойливый

Russian

Etymology

Per Vasmer, original meaning may have been "noisy", in which case it may be derived from на- (na-) + зой (zoj, scream) + -ливый (-livyj). Compare also зои́ться (zoítʹsja, to rage, to rave). Both зой (zoj) and зои́ться (zoítʹsja) are ultimately related to зия́ть (zijátʹ, to yawn, to gape).
