Ефи́м (Jefím) + -ок (-ok), from a colloquial confusion of the names Ефи́м (Jefím) and Иоаки́м (Ioakím, “Joachim”), referring to German Joachimsthaler and to the image of Saint Joachim on the obverse of the coin.
