Etymology
Learned borrowing from Latin eczema, from Ancient Greek ἔκζεμᾰ (ékzema, “cutaneous eruption”), from ἐκζέω (ekzéō, “to boil out, break out”) + -μᾰ (-ma, nominal suffix).[1] Compare Russian экзе́ма (ekzéma), Belarusian экзэ́ма (ekzéma).
