βραβείο
Greek
Etymology
From Ancient Greek βραβεῖον (brabeîon), related to βραβεύς (brabeús, “judge at the games”), from Proto-Hellenic *mŕ̥gʷ-, probably ultimately of Pre-Greek origin, suggesting that the athletic games themselves could have been of Pre-Greek heritage.[1]
