Learnedly, from Koine Greek ἀνακωχή (anakōkhḗ), late form of Ancient Greek ἀνοκωχή (anokōkhḗ)[1][2] with analogical restoration to the < ἀν(α)- (an(a)-) compounds + ὀκωχή f (okōkhḗ, hold, stay).[3]
