đầu têu

Vietnamese

Etymology

đầu (head) + têu; the second syllable is probably a non-Sino-Vietnamese reading of Chinese (SV: đầu), borrowed rather recently from a Sinitic lect. Compare Tōngshān Gan (tɛuA2), Méixiàn Hakka (tʰeu¹¹).

Pronunciation

Noun
