The Sindhri (Sindhi: سنڌڙي) mango is a mango cultivar grown in Sindhri, a town in Sindh, and other areas of Sindh province in Pakistan. It is a large oval shaped mango which is extremely sweet and aromatic.[1]
Sindhri Mango is the second most popular Mango variety in Pakistan, and it is also known as the Queen of Mangoes or honey mango.
It is considered the Queen of Mangoes because of its taste.[2][3]
Harvesting Season and Properties
Sindhri Mangoes were harvested before Chaunsa Mangoes just before the summer season.
In appearance, the fruit is ovalish, long, and large in size; the skin is lemon yellow when ripe; the pulp is yellowish cadmium when ripe; the texture is fine and firm with no fibers.
The stone (its seed) is medium in size; the flavor is pleasantly aromatic and sweet. Sindhri Mango is also known to have an excellent shelf life.[4]
