Nicktoons (sometimes called Nicktoons Global) is a European international pay television network operated by Paramount Networks EMEAA. Launched on February 1, 2017, international version of the American TV channel Nicktoons, the network serves many of the countries in the European Union, and features several feeds differentiated by time zones and local languages being the primary audio feed offered, with other languages offered through second audio program options. Other networks may display the domestic language as open-access subtitles.

Programming

History

The channel launched on February 1, 2017. 15 days later, it launched in the Middle East and North Africa on February 16, 2017. The Turkish feed was launched on February 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. (polish time). Nickelodeon HD got replaced by Nicktoons on December 12, 2018. Nicktoons launched in Russia on April 1, 2019. Nicktoons launched Hungarian and Romanian feeds on June 5, 2019, then in Bulgaria on October 30, 2019, then the Czech feed on January 22, 2020, and then the Ukrainian feed on July 14, 2020. Nicktoons launched 4 feeds in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Albania on April 22, 2022. On April 28, 2022, the Russian feed closed due to the Ukraine war. The channel closed in Belarus on December 14, 2022 because of the Ukraine war. On April 1, 2023, Nicktoons launched 3 new feeds in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, a month before Latvia changed the law on language possibilities, unlike Estonian and Lithuanian, content in Latvian uses is also provided with translation with the help of artificial intelligence, mostly at night.[1][2]
