Blanco suffered multiple facial fractures and was forced to miss the remainder of the season. He had posted an 0–1 record and 5.40 ERA across 5 appearances (3 of them starts).[4]

On January 20, 2023, Blanco signed with the Bravos de León of the Mexican League.
