Couhaib Driouech (born 17 April 2002) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Eredivisie club Excelsior. Born in the Netherlands, he represents Morocco at youth level.
Club career
Driouech made his professional debut for Eredivisie side Heerenveen on 19 September 2020 against Fortuna Sittard. He came on as a stoppage time substitute for Arjen van der Heide as Heerenveen won 3–1.[1]
On 31 August 2021, he signed a three-year contract with Excelsior in the Eerste Divisie.[2]
International career
Born in the Netherlands, Driouech is of Moroccan descent.[3] He was called up to the Morocco U23s in March 2023.[4]
In June 2023, he was included in the final squad of the under-23 national team for the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by Morocco itself,[5][6] where the Atlas Lions won their first title[7][8] and qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics.[7][9]
