  6. "Chloé Hollings on Instagram: "Two years ago today, I landed in Los Angeles for the very first time, unaware that my life was about to shift. • I'd been invited to Blizzcon. After that, the plan was to travel through California with my best friend @esueurmonsenert, for ten days. But by a curious twist of fate, 5 days before leaving Paris — my city, my love, my life — Elodie broke her foot and had to cancel coming to California with me. • So after three beautiful, exhilarating days at Blizzcon and meeting the most extraordinary humans, I found myself in an unknown city, by myself and, more importantly, without a plan. I may add that, at the time, Los Angeles appealed to me in no way. I didn't know what I was doing here, and as a result, carried no expectations. My heart was open. • My friend @darindepaul kept insisting, " Why don't you move to LA? ", and I gave him that look time and time again: " Darin, uh, grow up " 😂 Truth be told, I had no reason to leave my birth city. I loved every bit of my life in France. My decision to move from one continent to another was never driven by anything other than curiosity, excitement, the joy of self-exploration. Life in LA didn't seem " better ", but it did seem like it could reveal parts of myself that I was ready and excited to discover. • at this point, my first book had been released, I'd recently bought an appartement, I was without child or a husband, and everything I did in France — writing, acting, eating — could be done... Anywhere! There was perfection in this setting, and something about this transition felt like sunlight. • at the end of the trip — 14 days — my mind was made. I was ready to try. I gave myself permission to move in this unexpected direction. Now it's 2 years later, I'm writing this post from my terrace, somewhere close to Beverly Hills. Just thinking of all that has been transformed moves me, and brings so much joy. All of this, triggered by one thing. That's all it took. This job — this weird, wonderful, crazy, amazing job. Sometimes, that one thing is all it takes. Sometimes, the hard part is to allow. • Where will we be, two years from today? May we trust, always, and say yes to new adventures. To be continued... 🥰"".
