"Al Salām al-amīrī" (Arabic: السلام الأميري, transl.Amiri Salute) was the first national anthem of Kuwait, written in 1951. Its usage was discontinued in 1978. The style is very typical of the "Arab fanfare" as a style in use in the area at that time.[1] , and was composed by Yusuf Adees.
