Career
Born in West Bromwich, Birch played for Walsall, Chesterfield, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Barnsley, Rotherham United, Scunthorpe United, Stockport County and Frickley Athletic.[3]
Personal life
His brother Paul played for Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.[4]
