  • Major—Why did you choose this major?
  • I am a design major trying to pursue architecture. I chose this major because my father is a graphic designer and I always saw him work, and that really motivated me to pursue art.

  • Aspirations—What do you want to be/do? What are your hopes and dreams?
  • I hope to become an architect or interior designer because I love spending time at home, and I want to make comfortable space for people and have great experiences there.

  • Skills—Are there any special skills you’d like to share with a future employer?
  • My special skill is being able to speak Japanese and English fluently, which would help communication internationally.

  • Projects/accomplishments—Is there anything you’ve built/made/done that you’re proud of?
  • One project I’m proud of is creating a new design for a pen that already existed, and did become an actual product (one at the very front with gray stripe and mint color).

  • Repair experience—Have you fixed anything? If not, is there something you’d like to learn how to fix?
  • I haven’t really fixed anything in particular, but I want to learn how to fix accessories I use daily.

  • I am in the Japanese American Student Association.

  • Hobbies—What do you like to do in your spare time?
  • I usually listen to music and try to draw what I see, because I want to learn more about perspective.

  • How does this project relate to you?—How will your experience with this project benefit you professionally or personally?
  • This will benefit me personally because I’ve been the youngest child in my family and gotten help throughout most of my life, so this will help me become more independent and get new skills.

  • Any other fun facts you’d like to add?—Do you have any pets? Is there a food you can’t live without? Can you list the 50 U.S. states in alphabetical order? Can you make your eyebrows dance? What are your favorite things? Think artists, books, music, games, sports, etc.

  • I have a dog and a cat back in my home, and I love spending time with my family. I’m into r&b music, and want to learn more about different genres of music.
