About Me

Howdy! My name is Analiese Dusse, and I am a freshman currently co-enrolled at Austin Community College and Texas A&M University through the Chevron Engineering Academy. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and hope to eventually earn a master's degree in Human Factors Engineering. I am passionate about STEM and the idea of combining creativity with engineering problem-solving skills to make people's lives better. It is my belief that ergonomics principles and modern technology can be used to improve comfort, safety, and efficiency in nearly every field.

Repair Experience

Although I don't have very much experience repairing things myself, I have grown up watching my father teach himself how to fix everything from a TV screen to a leaky toilet to a broken freezer. He also learned how to solve various car issues in order to keep his vintage blue Subaru running for over 40 years. Part of the reason why I am so excited to join and contribute to iFixit is for people like him, who previously had to search for a physical repair manual or scour through dozens of YouTube videos to find one that effectively showed him how to fix his exact problem. Thus, I understand firsthand the importance of iFixit's mission statement to protect the Right to Repair and provide all individuals with free, easy-to-follow procedures.
