Hi, my name is Isabelle Lai and I am a junior student studying Computer Engineering at the University of California Davis. I am currently looking for an internship opportunity related to electrical engineering or technology where I can get hands on experience in the professional field.
Academically, I have programming skills with experience in C++ and Java, as well as a strong understanding of the logic that goes behind computer programs. I am currently working on learning Verilog and MATLAB to improve the skills I need as an electrical engineer. Important skills in my personal life include knitting and crocheting, and running a personal business to sell my crochet designs. I also work part-time at Target Starbucks as a cashier and barista.
I am a club officer for my university's S&B Fiber Arts club. I am a multimedia manager, and I help serve as a point person between our club and other clubs who hope to collaborate with us, as well as prepare materials that are distributed to club members during meetings.
My experience with iFixit and the projects posted to my profile will support my interests professionally as my profile will act as a portfolio that can show how my hands-on experience with arts and crafts can translate to useful engineering skills.
