I am majoring in Mathematics with a teaching concentration. I really love the subject and I believe it is very important and applicable to our everyday lives. I also have a passion for helping and teaching others, so I decided on pursuing a career as a high school mathematics teacher! I hope to inspire and motivate students in Calculus and Statistics.
I do not have much experience in repairs or building, but I am excited to obtain skills in that area! The most I have ever really gotten creative with building is when I made my barbies a custom closet out of cardboard and leftover fabric. I also made them mini outdoor trashcans out of the ice cubes gum containers. Thus, I can say I do have an appreciation for making something new and usable again!

I was invited and accepted into the Helen Hawks Honors Program. This program recruits and assists students who display leadership, collaboration, creativity, and passion for lifelong learning. By being in this program, I have access to prestigious honor courses, a variety of scholarships, a network of scholars, and sponsors in the study abroad program. This program encourages me to challenge myself in upper-division courses and allows me to thrive in my appreciation for education.
