Hello, my name is Giselle Ochoa I am a Civil Engineer Undergraduate student at California State University Los Angeles

I chose Civil Engineering as my major because I think it’s amazing to build something from nothing. I didn’t always know I wanted to become a civil engineer, but when I took my first engineering class, I knew I wanted to become some sort of engineer and in particular I liked the idea of an environmental engineer, and a structural engineer.

Some of the skills that I have is being a great contributor to a group I’m always a team player. I am also bilingual I speak both English and Spanish I grew up speaking both, so I am fluent.

some projects and accomplishments that I have done in my time at Cal State LA are an ROV project design and a bridge design. The ROV design was to be completely built by your group. You had to design it and waterproof it and build the controller so that it was able to move around in water. Bridge design was supposed to be designed to be the cheapest, safest, and most long lasting design.

This project relates to me because my major is Civil Engineer and we will have to repair things from buildings to roads etc.
