Hello to whoever is reading this, I am Arabo and I am a junior at Cal State LA and am majoring in Electrical Engineering.
Right now I am still learning and trying to find out what I want to do in my career. So far I am interested in computers and digital logic, programming, and circuit design. I look forward to learning more and applying my knowledge to solve real world problems.
I have not repaired many things but I have done some projects with some hands on experience which helps me contribute more to IFixIt and my repair project.
Projects
- 1 Kilowatt Generator. This was a project I worked on with my father so he could charge his tools when he is at work we both worked on different parts and he helped me learn a lot through this.
- Soldered together and inverter to convert DC power to AC power using different types of transistors. This was one part of the generator that would allow us to go from DC power from the battery cells and use normal AC power as an outlet.
- Spotwelded battery pack. To store the power we put a bunch of smaller battery cells in series and parralel to reach our desired 12V and 83A and had to connect them together by spotwelding then to a metal sheet.
- Micromouse
- Currently working on the obstacle detection team in Micromouse at my school. This is a competition where we build a small car that has to learn and complete a maze on its own I am working with the sensors to make sure it doesn't crash into the walls and so that we can send the data back to our microcontroller so that the software can map out the maze.
Hobbies
- Chess was a game I played a lot as a kid but I stopped playing after elementary school I picked it up toward the end of high school and am really enjoying learning about it and playing it. The image on the left is a game I played with on of my highschool teachers and the host of the chess club at my highschool I was black and he was white and it ended in a draw.
- Electronics or computers is also a hobby of mine a really big surprise for an electrical engineer right. But I researched and built my own computer and want to get involed with making projects with microcontrollers.
