I am a M.A. in Writing student at University of North Alabama, concentrating in Technical Writing. I hope to work for a company supporting NASA efforts in the future! My undergraduate degree was B.S. Psychology from The University of Georgia in 2009. Go Dawgs! It's never too late to do something different, which is why I decided to go back to school a little bit later in life!
I spent about 15 years in the animal welfare and rescue field until recently making a career pivot based upon my graduate education. I currently work as a Proposal Manager at a small aerospace / government contracting company.
I don't have much formal experience in repairs, so I look forward to learning more from IFIXIT. Nonetheless, I consider myself to be a resourceful and determined individual who is up for most challenges.
My hobbies outside of work and school include: being a bookworm, maintaining a summer garden, thrift store shopping, and trying new restaurants with my friends. I have also dabbled in refinishing vintage furniture through sanding, staining and painting. I live in Madison, AL with my husband, 2 dogs, and 5 cats!
