Introduction

This guide will show you how to access and replace the battery of the ventilator.

Preparation to service:

  1. Make sure anaesthetic machine is OFF
  2. Disconnect the machine from power supply
  3. Gain access to ventilator housing from guide below





    • Before disassembly, make sure the front wheel breaks are on.

    • Make sure ALL gas supplies are disconnected and the system has been purged, and make sure all electrical supplies have been disconnected.

    • With one hand on the ventilator removal handle and one holding the lower half of the ventilator, pull up firmly on the handle so that the mounting slides up the slots in the frame.

    • Pull the ventilator housing towards you so that the mounting tabs come out of the frame slots rest the ventilator housing on the plastic skirt at the rear of the workstation as shown in the photo.

    • Remove the main cover plate from the ventilator enclosure by removing all screws.

    • Disconnect the battery.

    • Remove the four pan head screws (SM0308P) holding down the battery plate (EV9109) and battery (EV9108) and remove the battery plate and battery.

    • Install the new battery in the same location and screw down the battery plate onto the battery plate spacers so that the battery is firmly held in place.

    • Reconnect the battery.
