Introduction

Hello this guide is to be used for sticking keys on a saxophone; however, this guide should be used as a last resort if cleaning the pad on the key did not solve the problem. Most sticking keys can be solved easily by simply cleaning the pad, but in extreme cases it may be deemed necessary to loosen the key itself.

    • Locate sticking key.

If it's sticky because of the pad not wanting to let go (as opposed to screw too tight, limiting movement) then just take a dollar bill (or a 20 if ur rich) and place it between the pad and the hole while pressing on the pad with your finger to hold it closed as you pull out the bill over and over helps absorb the moisture so it stops sticking.

    • Screws are located down from key.

  3. LKOi33El5O6SHmBu
    • Loosen screw slowly and carefully, so that screw isn't lost.

  4. sGT1KxUn4EGHrMDX
    • Test key and note free movement.

  5. YUBTHsaqPLQ4Ya1n
    • Put saxophone completely together and test out key.

    • If key still sticks repeat previous steps.

Conclusion

Loosen screw until key moves freely or as desired. Once as desired, you are then ready to play the instrument and test out key!
