Introduction

Replace the pickups on your Squire Strat Guitar.

With a screwdriver, unscrew the back panel screws.
Remove back panel.

Step 2

Unwind and remove the guitar strings.

With a screwdriver, remove the front body perimeter screws.

Step 4

Carefully lift the panel of the guitar and turn it upside down to reveal the electronic components.

Using the the soldering iron and the solder sucker (or the soldering wick), take away any soldering connections of the potentiometers and the five-way switch.

Before you do this, take a few photos of the solded pins and connections! This will give you any chances to reconnect all pins correct again … ;)

Carefully flip the back panel to the original position.
With a screwdriver, unscrew the pickups.

Remove the old pickups.
