    • Carefully disconnect the quick disconnect couplers.

    • The Couplers may be tightly secured so it may be necessary to use a small flat device to carefully loosen the coupler.

    • Be sure to use an ESD safe tool like the nylon spudger when working with wires and batteries—this will prevent injury and/or device damage.

Removed the single screw but cover will not come off. What do you do?

Just tried it. The cover is a bit hard. Gold the vacuum at an angle and slightly push the notch on the cover with a flat screwdriver, it should come out.

Will it run on cord only

ligthelf -

NO. Requires batteries.

1.) Mine was much harder to disassemble, took considerable force.

2.) No one sells form, fit and function replacement batteries, including Shark

3.) The available replacement are much smaller in volume, and hence power, and require padding or they will rattle.

Where do I get a replacement battery for it?

Model SV780N1 14. Original batteries were three sets of battery packs daisy-chained together and tucked into the housing. The nylon band around the larger pack had deteriorated and came apart when attempting to pull it out. So, loosened the housing screws enough to slightly open up the housing and was able to pry out.

I bought my replacement battery from Amazon.

Thank you!! This is exactly what I needed and it worked!!

My model, SV780 N1 14, takes the daisy chained batteries, XBT779. These batteries cost more than buying a new model. Is there a similar battery that doesn't cost as much that will work?

Why do these cost so much? Are batteries in the newer models better now, and maybe I should just get a newer model?
