First : take a wire continuity tester, and give each wire color it's place on the jack. Here are the colors for this particular model. Yours can be different, there is no standard. If you don't have a tester, use a tiny battery and LED with a resistor (about 1k) in series (if not, short-circuit will burn your wire).

1st the wires are usually coated in an insulation varnish, burn it with a lighter.

Solder each wire to the correct receptacle, test with a phone or PC that all works fine, remote controller included.

Protect the soldering job with glue, resin, or shrink tube if you have some. Be sure that pulling on the assembled cable will not apply direct stress in the individual wires.
-
Screw your new jack head over it, and enjoy the sound, the savings, and to have avoided throwing everything away as waste.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
