Introduction
It is vital for the safety of football players to have helmets and facemasks up to safety regulations. Overtime, through repeated use and force, facemasks may become damaged and need to be replaced. This guide goes through the process of replacing a facemask to keep a helmet up to safety standards.

If the helmet has a visor remove this from the facemask first.

Visors are typically attached by screws to the facemask itself, although different models have different attachment systems.

Using the Riddell Quick Release tool (or a suitable alternative) press the center button of the quick release fastener to unlock the attachment.

Prepare to reattach the quick release attachments on the sides of the helmet by inserting the top releasing mechanism into the plastic fastener and aligning the back washer on the inside of the helmet.

Simply use your fingers to press together the back and front of the quick release attachments to lock them into place.

Lastly, if necessary reattach the visor.

If there is no visor to reattach, then the helmet is completed.
