Introduction
Learn how to remove coins that become stuck in gears after a toddler overenthusiastically stuffs the Hungry Cat full of change.
Tools
-
-
Turn the Hungry Cat Savings Bank off.
-
Using a coin, remove the cap covering the change storage.
-
Use a standard Phillips screwdriver #0 to remove the screw holding the battery cover in place.
-
-
-
Empty all change from the Hungry Cat Savings Bank, or it will drive you bonkers during repair.
-
-
-
Remove the four screws holding the cover in place. You'll need a traditional Phillips screwdriver, not a screwdriver set, to reach fully into the wells.
-
-
-
Locate the jam. You might need to temporarily put in the batteries to activate the arm, so you can find the jam.
-
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Make sure to remove the batteries before reassembling.

My one will not stop once it has grabbed a coin , the paw keeps coming out and it has to be turned off at the switch. And he doesn't meow anymore.
I don’t have my box in front of me, but it sounds like the tray isn’t returning to the rest position fully. When you disassemble it, is there anything preventing the tray (where you put the quarter) from smoothly returning to rest position?
How to you repair the Godzilla bank? Bought one yesterday and it completely stopped working?
Is there any sound at all coming from the bank or is it completely silent when you press the button?
