Introduction

You will need to remove the gearcase or head of the impact wrench to complete many other repairs on your Porter Cable PCE211 drill.

Before using this guide, make sure you do not have the impact wrench plugged in because if the function buttons are pushed, it could damage the tool or yourself.

This guide requires a bit of strength and time because the screws are difficult to release.

    • Using the Hex Security SAE 7/32", remove the four 10 mm socket screws at the base of the gearcase.

    • Grip the body of the impact wrench with one hand and the gearcase in the other and firmly pull to remove it.

    • Be careful about any loose parts when removing the head.
