Introduction

Replacing a broken or scratched lens on a Polaroid Sun 600 LMS.

    • Move film door slide on the left side of camera forward.

    • Pull film door open.

    • Open the flash assembly by holding the sides of the top piece of the camera and pushing up gently until it snaps into place.

    • If your camera is old or dirty, it may take more force to open the flash assembly.

    • Use a spudger on each side to separate the flash segment from the main body.

    • Be careful not to do this too hard because you may pull out the connecting wires.

    On the Polaroid 630 SL Lightmixer you have to hold the flash segment at about 45 degrees to get it out without breaking of small bits of plastic of the holding mechanism.

    • Use several plastic opening tools around the edges of the camera's body to separate it from the plastic frame.

    • Place left hand on the gray section and right hand on the black section.

    • Pull the sections apart.

    • Carefully remove the damaged lens from the interior of the camera.

    • Replace with a new lens.

    I had the same camera, and because the shutter is stuck, I follow the tutorial to fix it successfully, and I had a question about the left side of the lens it had two adjustment dials here, is that showing in the photo the default value? because I forgot to take a photo before I disassemble it, so I want to set it to the default value.
