Straightforward replacement of a power chord.
Disassembly of an iron can sometimes be tricky; this one has one hidden screw.

Philips Comfort 215 Iron:

Remove the two phillips screws at the back.

Remove the turning knob to reveal the third screw. The knob can be lifted once it is in the right orientation; it needs very little force.

The top cover can now be removed

The connectors are held in place by a peg; release them by pushing a small lever in the middle of the connector.

Here the old connectors have been soldered to the new wire; the joint has been covered with heat-shrink tubing.

As always, take care that the wire is routed correctly through the top cover and entry guide before connecting everything

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
