Introduction

The rear bearing tool is what manages the motor movement of the device. Though it is rare that this part of the device gets unusable, from getting off position or rust, replacing the bearing is an important job.

Unlike other replacement guides, you will need an additional tool besides the iFixit toolkit. A bearing puller is required and it can be found from any local hardware or auto parts shops for a cost of approximately $30.

If the tool is spinning slowly or not at all, it might be because of the bearing. This guide will explain the steps needed for replacement.
