    • The first guide showed you how to access the mech and mech track. Now we will remove the mech from the chair.

    • Another option is to cut the zip ties on the back mech cable and follow it down the the base of the chair. It can be unplugged from the connector and the mech can be removed with the back cable connected in this way. Make sure you disconnect using the white connectors show in the bottom of the image.

    • Note: If you do choose to replace the back connecting cable, please make note of the zip tie locations and when re-installing use the exact same cable routing. This will prevent the new mech from damaging the new back connecting cable.

    • If motor will drive on its own you can skip steps 5 and 6 and go straight to 7.

    • To drive the mech go into a manual massage and then choose point mode. This will let you use the up and down arrows to drive the mech up to the top manually. You may need to remove the upper sensor to allow the mech to move past.

    • Once the motor is lowered you can use a flat head screwdriver or power screwdriver to manually drive the motor up and out of the chair.

Good trick to getting that backroller out is connect a 12v battery to the positive and negative of the motor that turns the gears. Or You can use the flathead of your drill on the backend of the motor to “manually” turn the gear but with the power of your drill.

    • Once the motor is no longer able to move up (reached the top of the track) you can lift the mech up and out.
