Introduction
Do you have a pair of WESC Maraca Headphones with worn ear cushions? Use this guide to repair them and avoid ruining the bare cushions or completely replacing the headphones.
Tools
Parts
-
-
Remove the cushion from the headphones by carefully pushing the edges out from the sides of the ear piece.
-
-
-
Use a marker to draw an arrow shape around the bottom of the cushion.
-
The arrow's point should fall toward the center of the cushion.
-
The points on the sides of the arrow should extend well beyond the edge of the cushion. They should not be aligned with the corners of the cushion.
-
The bottom of the arrow should line up with the sides and bottom of the cushion.
-
Repeat this step to draw a wider arrow for the side of the cushion.
-
-
-
Cut out the two arrows of fabric.
-
Using the arrows as guides, cut out 3 additional arrows of each different size. In total you will have 4 top and bottom arrows and 4 side arrows.
-
-
-
Attach the tip of the arrow to the inside of the cushion and fold the rest of the arrow over the outside.
-
Repeat this step to attach each arrow to the appropriate side of each cushion
-
-
-
Once you have all of the fabric attached, stretch the edges of the cushion back over the headphone's ear piece.
-
Use a thin plastic card to carefully tuck the edges of the cushion back into the ear piece.
-
-
-
Once the cushion has been reattached to the ear piece, use the plastic card to carefully tuck the bottoms of the fabric arrows into the sides of the ear piece.
-
Your headphones are now reupholstered and ready to use again.

thanks for the idea! but I have to say this was a lot harder & less successful than promised, I’ve been at it for 1 hour and have only “reupholstered” 1 earphone… and it’s very partial (has holes). I rate my fixing result at 3/10, and I followed the instructions. :(
