Introduction
This is a consolidation of the method fix for only getting left side audio from your Hesh 2 when in Bluetooth mode. It also assumes that you are still getting full stereo while using the headphones hard wired. I have seen several iterations of this issue and the associated fix, but they all lacked some detail.
-
-
Make sure your Hesh 2 is powered on and connected to a Bluetooth source.
-
While not required, active, stereo audio playback will be very helpful, so put on some tunes.
-
Put the headphones on your head and make sure audio playback is heard in the left ear.
-
Slowly insert the Hesh 2 audio cable (3 conductor end) into the 1/8" jack on the left ear cup. You should hear the audio playback switch from left ear only to both ears but in mono only when you have bridged the left and right channel contacts. Continue to slowly insert the cable until playback stops.
-
After the playback stops, remove the cable and power cycle your Hesh 2. Reconnect to Bluetooth if required. Play some audio to verify you now have stereo audio working again.
-
If this process did not work, repeat these steps and be sure to insert the cable slowly. There must be something that happens with the Bluetooth side of the electronics when the left and right channels get bridged for more than a moment.
