Introduction
If the zipper slider of your Yeti Hopper Flip Soft Cooler is still working but the pull tab is damaged or missing, then it becomes difficult to close the lid of the cooler. This guide will demonstrate how to fix it by making a new zipper pull tab out of leather.
We will mark down the shape of a pull tab onto leather scraps/remnants and cut it out using scissors. Then use an awl to piece a hole for the rivets and loop the leather around a split ring.
After hammering the rivets together to close the loop around the split ring, we will then attach the pull tab to the slider of the zipper by opening the split ring and inserting it into the slider.
Things to keep in mind when choosing the leather to make the tab out of. A softer leather will be easier to work with but is more susceptible to wear and tear. While a tougher leather is harder to work with, and easier to injure yourself when working with it, but is more durable and will likely last longer.
