If your chairs or any other articles of furniture are scratching you hard flooring whenever you move them, use this guide to help you replace the felt footings on the bottom of the legs to prevent anymore scratching.
Felt footings on chairs and other furniture prevent the legs from scratching hard flooring whenever they are shifted around. Damaged or missing felt footings will result in scratched and damaged floors.
Before using this guide, be sure to remove any dust or debris that has accumulated along the bottom of the legs of whichever piece of furniture you are looking to fix. This debris can be fairly disgusting and if left on, can kick up a lot of dust into the air when you start working.

Use pre-cut felt footing replacements to replace the old footing. Press felt footing into center of chair foot firmly.

Now you’re done! With all four footings replaced, you can replace your furniture.
