Introduction

Mini refrigerators are becoming increasingly popular among makeup and skincare users, and many affordable options are sold by popular retailers. The cooling mechanisms of a “skincare fridge” can fail due to lack of ventilation space, which causes frost buildup. A Cooluli Classic-4L thermo-electric cooler can stop cooling if ice builds up on the inside of the refrigerator and freezes the coils.

This guide will walk you through defrosting your refrigerator and cleaning the inside ventilation fan so that your Cooluli Classic-4L can cool down again.

Before you begin, make sure to unplug your Cooluli Classic-4L from any external power source.

    • Remove the plastic basket and tray from the inside of the refrigerator by sliding them out of the holders.

    • Remove any and all products from inside of the refrigerator.

    • If you have any perishable products in your Cooluli Classic-4L, temporarily store them in another refrigerator.

    • Place the refrigerator on a flat surface with a towel beneath it to catch any water that drains out during defrosting.

    • Leave the refrigerator overnight with the door open to allow the inside to defrost.

    • After the refrigerator has defrosted overnight, clean the inside of the refrigerator with warm water and liquid soap.

    • Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth or paper towels.

    • If there is still ice on the inside of the refrigerator, wipe away with a warm, damp cloth.

    • Do not chip away at the ice with a hard object, as you may damage the plastic lining of the inside of the refrigerator.

My fridge is a different brand but is essentially identical and it leaks water from those 4 interior screws. How do I fix that?

What if it has stopped cooling but there is no ice buildup??

Janell Gill -

Mine doesn't have frosting either but all of a sudden it stopped cooling. The air vent is not blocked or anything. I had it for a year and a half working just fine and all of a sudden it stopped working. And now the green light blinks when I turn it on.

Same. Just stopped working. Great lil fridge too.

Green light is not working or on at all. Was a little dust buildup but nothing overwhelming.

Might be done.

Mine cools but sounds like a jet engine taking off; how to fix?

I have a problem with my vanity planet fridge not making a tan noise , it stopped cooling I cleaned it today and put it back and now the fan is very very quiet what do I do?

Mine does nothing at all! The LED's no longer turn on. It seems like it's DOA!

I tried this method but still not working. it might be the solder joints of the pcb. my husband tried to move the connected wirings to the board to make sure it's connected and it works!

I have now purchased 2 of these and both have stopped working for no reason after 1.5 years too. I had no ice build up and it seemed to be working aside from it doesn't cool. what a waste of money :(

The one I have now that just stopped working out of no where will be my 3rd replacement!! They seem to work perfectly for about 1 1/2 years and then just stops working. I made sure to give it plenty of room for ventilation and regular maintenance keeping the fan/coils clean and dust free. I won’t be buying this brand again. Honestly I’m scared to buy any brand again. They all seem to last no more than 2 years.

Honestly, how long do u expect them to work for? I think all but 2 years is great for something so small. Depending what it's used for I believe that 2 years is sufficient enough to make me wanna buy another one as I did.....well for my wife so I can tear it apart to see how it worked and works and see if I can fix it. The l.e.ds lite up but it don't get hot or cold.....I will comment again if I get it fixed

Followed the directions. I hope it works. Thank you.

I'm hoping I try this and it works, Mines only 1.5 years also.

The same thing happened to me but right before the year was up. I think one of the connecters blew out cause I see that there's black residue around one of the metallic things on the green board connected to the switches (sorry, I don't know they're called).
