Introduction
This guide will show you how to repair the gate latch of a wood fence gate, if the original screw holes are worn out or loose. If this happens the hardware may be misaligned or ineffective. We will use anchors and other common tools to tighten the connection and reinforce the hardware.
If you're unable to remove and replace the gate latch or there is not a good secondary location for the placement of gate latches, follow this guide. This repair takes minor knowledge of using basic hand tools such as an electric drill, hammer, and sander. It is still achievable for those with almost no background skill in carpentry or construction.
